Ember is dedicated to being socially responsible in communities near our operations. As part of that role, we seek out opportunities to become involved in and/or sponsor local activities. In particular, we support organizations or events that fit with our core values, often in the areas of sports and education. We aim to make a difference in the communities near our operations.
Ember entered the Malmo area through the acquisition of Cordero Energy Inc. in September 2008. We are now evaluating our donation program in keeping with our commitment to invest in and support local communities. Donations have begun with contribution to the local fire department in support of community services.

Malmo
In 2008, Ember acquired assets in the Malmo and Buffalo Lake
areas through the acquisition of Cordero Energy Inc., which produce from Horseshoe Canyon coals.
