With the Horseshoe Canyon coals, the lease during drilling measures about 360 feet x 360 feet, which is reduced down to about 50 feet x 50 feet when a well is placed on production. Current regulations allow for the drilling of four wells per section. Ember drills and produces these wells with minimal disturbance. |

To minimize land use, Ember’s Mannville CBM projects are designed around a central pad. With Mannville coals, 3-6 wells are drilled from a single pad located in a corner of a section to minimize impact on agricultural applications. |
